Lok Chumteav Nguon Sokha, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance said that the modern financial sector has helped boost national growth, but the sector is still struggling with digital knowledge, digital financial knowledge, and limited consumer awareness.
The complexity of modern financial transactions is the main reason why the Royal Government re-thinks in the development of the modern financial sector, which is the fourth largest industry in Cambodia.
She stressed that the Ministry of Economy and Finance has introduced measures to encourage and develop SMEs in the securities sector to contribute to improving the qualification of new businesses to be able to access financing under competitive conditions from financial institutions.
