Cambodia's two provinces collect the highest taxes

The two provinces that collected the highest taxes were Preah Sihanouk and Banteay Meanchey, according to Cheam Yeap, chairman of the Economic Commission Banking, Finance and Audit of the National Assembly to examine the potential of state tax collection in February and early March 2019.


Mr. Yeap said the Banteay Meanchey bordering the Thai border is a province with economic potential and that tax collection from customs and tax authorities has a high yield of 2018 annual tax collection into high national budgets.

The Sihanoukville is also a province of great economic potential, industry, garment industry, construction, tourism and special economic zones.
